MARINE LUBRICANTS

SK SUPERMAR S is a premium quality lubricant for cross-head diesel engine crankcase systems. It is blended with first quality base oils and is fortified with oxidation and corrosion inhibitors. SK SUPERMAR AS supplements SK SUPERMAR S quality by including alkalinity, enhanced detergency and load carrying properties. SK SUPERMAR AS is especially effective in engines with oil-cooled pistons: may be in certain trunk piston diesel engines.

Recommendations and Specification

	SK SUPERMAR S is designed primarily for crankcase lubrication in low - speed, cross-head type main propulsion engines. It can also be used for miscellaneous shipboard applications where an SAE 30 oil is required.
	SK SUPERMAR AS is especially recommended where: - an alkaline system oil is specified by the engine manufacturer.
	Excessive deposits have been noticed on the under-side of oil-cooled piston crowns.
	Acid build - up in the system oil is being experienced and the operator does not wish to use water - washing or chemical treatment.
	Optimum crankcase cleanliness is desired.
	Maximum protection against deposits and acidity is sought.
	SK SUPERMAR AS may be used in trunk piston diesel engines, such as auxiliaries using marine gas oil or distillate fuel, where a 7 TBN lubricant of API CC diesel detergency quality is considered adequate from an operational standpoint.
	SK SUPERMAR AS should be centrifuged regularly in serve to remove contaminants and maintain system oil quality. Water - washing to remove acidic materials is not required since the acid control is built into the oil itself.

Marine Diesel Cylinder Oils

Supermar CYL 60 Supermar CYL 70

The SK marine line of cylinder lubricants for cross-head diesel engines comprises: SUPERMAR CYL 60 and CYL 70 Formulated with first quality base oils and high performance additive systems. SK SUPERMAR CYL oils provide excellent protection against wear, reduced piston deposits and superior overall cylinder cleanliness for those applications for which they are intended. The SK marine line of cylinder oils is designed to cater for engines operating on all the residual fuels as defined in current international marine fuels quality standards and guidelines. The products are available in viscosity grade SAE 50 for SK SUPERMAR CYL 60 and SK SUPERMAR CYL 70.

Recommendation And Specification

	SK SUPERMAR CYL 70 (7OTBN) is the main product of the Yukong marine line of cylinder lubricants. It is particularly suitable for engines of high maximum pressures and high stroke -to - bore rations.
	SK SIJPERMAR CYL 60(6OTBN) can be used instead of SUPERMAR CYL 70 where operational conditions allow it. This is ususlly in moderately rated engines of earlier vintages.

Trunk Piston Diesels Engine Lubricants

	SK SUPERMAR 13TP(13TBN) oils are intended for use in highly rated trunk piston diesel engines operation under severe conditions on distillate fuels.
	SK SUPERMAR 13TP oils can also be used in engines using residual fuels of lower viscosity(up to 80-100 cst at 50~D) and lower sulfur content (up to 1 -2 mass %), wherever the relatively low TBN of the oil is still considered adequate from an operational standpoint.
	SK SUPERMAR 30TP oils are the main products for all highly rated trunk piston diesel engines in severe burning residual fuels.
	SK SUPERMAR 24TP oils and 40TP oils are intended for those instances of residual fuel operation which are better served by either lower or higher TBN oils than SUPERMAR 30TP on account of engine type, operation, fuel quality or specific engine builder recommendation.

Premium Marine Turbine Oil

SK SUPERMAR TURBINE OIL is premium quality turbine lubricant that has high Viscosity Index and good oxidation stability. The inherent superior quality of this oil is further improved by selected additives that ensure maximum service life. The high viscosity index, good demulsibility and resistance to rust and foaming meet every demand for marine.

Premium Quality Refrigeration Compressor Oils

SK SUPERFREEZE S Refrigeration Compressor Oils are superior quality synthetic hydrocarbon lubricants. These products have excellent physical and chemical properties that make them especially well suited for lubrication of modern refrigeration equipment. SK SUPERFREEZE S series have better miscibility characteristics with critical fluorocarbon refrigerants(egR22R, R502) than conventional mineral oils and therefore can be used for very low temperature applications(-60c to -l00cj)The high degree of chemical and thermal stability of the SK SUPERFREEZE S assures long service life and reliable performance with outstanding cleanliness.

Recommendation And Specification

	SK SUPERFREEZE S grades are recommended for the lubrication of all refrigeration compressor types. Reciprocating (piston) or Rotary (including modern screw type compressors).
	Operating conditions(temperature and pressure) and Refrigerant/oil mixture characteristics(Solubility) are used by the manufacturer to determine the appropriate viscosity required.
	The quality features that distinguish the SK SUPERFREEZE S grades make them exceptionally well suited for use with fluorocarbon refrigerants and they can be used with other common refrigerants as well(e.g. ammonia).
	They should not be used with sulfur dioxide.

Premium Quality Air Compressor Lubricants

SK COMPRESSOR OIL is a premium quality lubricant designed for use in reciprocating and Rotary air compressor. Blended with first quality paraffin base oils, selected high temperature antioxidants and rust inhibitors to give low carbon forming tendencies in air compressors.

Recommendation And Specification

	SK COMPRESSOR OIL is the SAE 30 Viscosity Grade and It is approved against the DIN 51506 requirement for air compressor as grade VD - L100.
	Basically this Standard specifies limit of the amount of carbon formed after an oxidation test of air compressor lubricants in the presence of iron oxide.

Open Gear Lubricants

SK GEAR COMPOUNDS are cut - back adhesive-type lubricants developed to satisfy the various lubrication requirements of open gears and running cables in use a board ship. This product contains on additives to impart extreme pressure and rust preventive characteristics.

Recommendation And Specification

	SK GEAR COMPOUNDS have been an established product for many years and have earned a very good reputation for use in most normal application, such as open gear wire rope, guides, slides, fifth wheel on semi trailers, etc.
	SK GEAR COMPOUNDS No. 1 is fluid type to permit application at normal summer temperature by brush, swab or bath without heating. During cold weather, SKGEAR COMPOUNDS No.2 is especially compounded to provide superior adhesive and water Resistant characteristics. It should be heated to facilitate application.
	SK GEAR COMPOUNDS No.3 must be heated for proper application and it is principally on open gear, wire rope and exposed conditions requiring a heavier product than SK GEAR COMPOUNDS No. 1 or No.2.
